Promoting UNESCO’s Vision for Education, Culture, and Peace

UNESCO Club USA is fiscally sponsored by United Nations Community Development Corporation (UNCDC), a 501(c)(3) organization (112 Exchange Street, Lynn, MA; ed@uncdc.org) and is headquartered in Lynn. The club was established in accordance with UNESCO’s mission to promote international collaboration in education, science, culture, and communication. Its main mission is to promote UNESCO ideals, goals, and programs while initiating impactful projects in the following areas:

Partner with the United Nations, UNESCO, and other NGOs to conduct activities in cultural awareness, science, education, peace studies, world heritage, and international intellectual exchanges.

Advocate for and educate communities on human rights, democracy, justice, and peace.

Encourage understanding and collaboration among diverse cultures and communities.

Promote sustainable development and environmental awareness.

Strengthen the capacity for effective communication within and between communities.

Protect and promote material and immaterial heritage of global significance.

Foster unity, tolerance, and a shared responsibility for spreading peace and goodwill.

Create opportunities for cultural exchange among communities to build mutual respect.

Promote peacebuilding and bridge-building between various religions and belief systems.

Focus on the importance of English and science education for diverse immigrant and refugee communities in a supportive, stress-free environment.

Actively support the preservation of museums and historical sites in Lynn, including fundraising through grant writing and establishing linkages with other United Nations agencies to enhance outreach efforts.
